Legal Data Solutions is committed to providing you with the best possible customer service experience. Legal Data Solutions is bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which sets out a number of principles concerning the privacy of individuals.
There are many aspects of the site which can be viewed without providing personal information. However, in order to obtain a licence for the use of Legal Data Solutions' products (including its product MyBrief) and for access to future Legal Data Solutions support features you are required to submit personally identifiable information. This may include but not limited to a unique username and password, or sensitive personal information to assist in the recovery of your lost password.

MyBrief includes AI-powered features such as receipt scanning (OCR), chronology building, document summarisation, and writing assistance. When you use these features, your data may be processed by third-party AI providers (including, as at the date of this policy, Anthropic, PBC) to provide the requested functionality.
We do not use your data to train AI models. AI processing is performed on a per-request basis and is not retained by the AI provider beyond the immediate processing of your request.
We may occasionally engage other companies or individuals to provide services on our behalf, including, but not limited to, handling customer support enquiries, processing transactions, providing cloud hosting infrastructure, providing payment processing services, providing email delivery services, or providing artificial intelligence services. Those companies or individuals will be permitted by Legal Data Solutions to obtain only the personal information they need to deliver the relevant service. Legal Data Solutions takes reasonable steps to ensure that these organisations are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to the protection of your personal information.
